This statue is an elegant art deco juggling lady balancing on one leg while
juggling with three balls: one in her hand, one on the back of her hand and one
on her foot.
The title of the sculpture is: 'Joueuse de Boules'. It’s usually translated into English as “The Juggler” (ref: Bryan Catley – Art Deco and Other Figures”).
It is mounted on a circular marble base with ivory ball in between. Under the marble is a brass plaque with a number; probably the model number.
Signature on the marble: Cl J R Colinet.
Tiny pin prick on the marble.
Gilt bronze! Some wear to the gilding, consistent with age. Great condition !
